Our Founders’ Story
Everstone Custom Homes was founded by Tim Arthur and Liz Reed, two people who share a passion for building with integrity and care. Together, they’ve shaped Everstone into Chattanooga’s boutique builder of choice — one that balances craftsmanship with complete transparency.
Tim brings more than 25 years of hands-on construction experience and an eye for detail that ensures every home is built to last. Liz’s strength lies in creating a client-centered experience, guiding each project with clear communication and genuine care for the families they serve.

Tim Arthur
President & Chief Executive Officer
Tim founded TA Construction in 1999 and has over 27 years of experience in residential & commercial construction. As TA Construction continued to grow, Tim oversaw our rebranding to Everstone Custom Homes to make certain that client satisfaction was our main focus.
Tim has dedicated his career to helping homeowners bring their custom home vision to life. From initial planning to the final details, Tim takes pride in delivering quality craftsmanship, clear communication, and dependable results.
For nearly three decades Tim has specialized in delivering high-quality custom homes built on trust, precision, and lasting value. As a husband, father of three, and grandfather of four, Tim understands the importance of a home—it’s more than a structure; it’s where life happens.
Elizabeth Reed
Chief Design Officer & Director of Client Relations
With over 19 years of experience in custom home design and client relations, Liz is dedicated to delivering a personalized, client-centered building experience. She began working alongside her father, Tim, at just 15 years old, where she quickly developed a passion for being on the jobsite and seeing projects through from concept to completion. Even as a child, Liz enjoyed decorating
and planning, a passion that naturally evolved into her career in home design. Today, Liz collaborates closely with homeowners to bring their visions to life, guiding them through every step of the process with transparency, expertise, and care. Her goal is not only to create beautifully crafted homes, but also to ensure each client enjoys the journey as much as the final result. As a wife and mother of two, Liz understands firsthand how important it is for a home to be both beautiful and functional. She values spaces that support everyday life, from busy mornings to meaningful family moments, and brings that perspective into every project she touches. Liz believes a home should reflect not only personal style, but also the rhythms, needs, and memories of the people who live within it.
Blake Potter
Chief Operating Officer
Blake graduated from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelors in Business Administration and has over 12 years of experience in logistics and operations management. Blake has a proven business track record responsible for leading a $115 million yearly revenue
business, leading production strategies, and driving efficiency across a workforce of 250+ employees. Known for optimizing processes, improving performance, and delivering consistent operational excellence for customers. Blake is married to his wife Kelly and they have three children. With young children at home Blake understands firsthand how important it is to have a well-built home that provides safety, comfort, and a strong foundation for family life. Everstone’s core values of operating with integrity, transparency, commitment to operational excellence and ethical business practices were some of the many reasons that Blake joined the Everstone team.
David Squires
Project Coordinator
David was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and later made his way to Panama City Beach, Florida, where he built both a life and a career. In 1985, he founded a successful screen and hardware business, establishing himself as a hardworking and dedicated entrepreneur in the community. Along the way, he met his wife, Brenda, and the two have now shared 18 years of
marriage. David and Brenda have two daughters and are the proud grandparents to three grandchildren who bring joy to their lives. After many years of hard work, David retired and relocated to River Gorge Ranch in 2025. The Squires were one of the first residences to receive a certificate of occupancy at the River Gorge Ranch by building with the Everstone Team. Following the completion of their custom-built home David became part of the Everstone Custom Home Team, continuing to stay active and engaged in a field he enjoys. Today, he and Brenda reside at River Gorge Ranch, where they enjoy this new chapter of his life.
Karen Arthur
Office Manager
A retired math teacher with a lifelong love of numbers and problem-solving, Karen is also a devoted mother of three and proud grandmother of four, roles that remain at the heart of everything she does. Her natural attention to detail and strong sense of organization have carried seamlessly into her work handling invoices and accounting for Everstone Custom Homes, where accuracy and trust are essential. Married to CEO and President Tim Arthur, Karen has worked side by side with him for nearly three decades, forming not only a strong partnership in life but also in business. Together, they have helped guide the company with integrity, care, and a shared commitment to excellence.
Karen takes great pride in being part of the behind-the-scenes work that ensures each project runs smoothly, knowing that every detail contributes to bringing a family’s dream home to life. Whether supporting clients indirectly through her financial expertise or cherishing time with her children and grandchildren, Karen embodies the values that make a house truly feel like home.
